On the eve of the feast in honor of the Kursk-Root Icon of the Mother of God, Bishop Matthew celebrated a moleben (prayer service) at the chapel on the site of the blessed repose of Saint John (Maximovitch).
On December 9, 2025, after visiting St. Nicholas Cathedral in Seattle, Bishop Matthew of Sourozh, with the blessing of Bishop Theodosius of Seattle, Vicar of the Western American Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, visited the chapel dedicated to St. John of Shanghai, who reposed in the Lord on July 2, 1966, before the miraculous Kursk-Root Icon of the Mother of God "The Sign" during a visit to St. Nicholas Church in Seattle. The chapel was erected on the site of his blessed repose.
Bishop Matthew presented a Patriarchal award to an American public figure.
On December 9, 2025, at St. Nicholas Cathedral of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia (ROCOR) in Seattle, Bishop Matthew of Sourozh, the temporary Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA and Canada, acting on the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, met with American public figure and journalist Peter Anderson. Mr. Anderson was honored by His Holiness with the high award of the Russian Orthodox Church—the Order of Glory and Honor, 2nd Class—for his significant contribution to inter-church cooperation and humanitarian work, as well as to strengthening peace and friendship among peoples.
The archpastoral visit of Bishop Matthew of Sourozh to the United States of America and Canada has begun.

A representative of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA participated in the feast in honor of the Apostle Andrew the First-Called.
On December 1, 2025, Cardinal Timothy Dolan, Archbishop of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New York, welcomed clergy and hierarchs of Orthodox churches from across New York to his annual Saint Andrew's Day dinner. The gathering, held in honor of the Catholic feast of Saint Andrew the First-Called, brought together representatives of various Orthodox traditions in a spirit of ecumenical fellowship.

On Sunday, September 14, 2025, the 14th Sunday after Pentecost, the beginning of the Indiction and the feast day of the Holy Princes Peter and Fevronia of Murom, Divine Liturgy was celebrated at St. Nicholas Cathedral in New York City. During the service, special prayers were offered from the New Year's hymn service, as well as prayers in honor of the patron saints of marriage—for families, love, and fidelity.
