On Februray 12, 2024, a bright and joyous formal reception was held to commemorate the annual holiday. At the invitation of the Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the United Nations, His Excellency Vasily Alekseyevich Nebenzya the Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the United Nations, Archpriest Igor Vyzhanov, Rector of St. Nicholas Patriarchal Cathedral in New York, took part in a reception on the occasion of the Day of the Diplomat.
This is the professional holiday for Russian diplomats, and is celebrated annually on February 10th. The reception was held at the Mission of the Russian Federation to the UN.
Participating in the event was also Rev. Fr. Mark Rashkov, Vice-Chancellor of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA and Acting Rector Church of the Nativity of St. John the Baptist in Singac-Little Falls, New Jersey.
