On August 1, 2024, the feast day of St Seraphim of Sarov, Archpriest Igor Vyzhanov, rector of St Nicholas Patriarchal Cathedral in New York, took part in the Divine Liturgy celebrated by the First Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, Metropolitan Nicholas of Eastern America & New York. This being the patronal feast day of St Seraphim Church in Sea Cliff, NY as well as Archpriest Serafim Gan’s name-day, many clerics gathered.
Concelebrating with the First Hierarch were His Excellency Bishop Theodosius of Seattle and clergy of the Eastern American Diocese. At the festal luncheon after the service, the participants warmly congratulated the rector of the church Archpriest Serafim Gan. Fr Gan carries out the obedience of the chancellor of the Synod of Bishops of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia.
