On December 6, 2024, Archpriest Igor Vyzhanov, rector of St. Nicholas Patriarchal Cathedral in New York, attended the concert “May Your Soul Rejoice,” given by the Synodal Choir of the Russian Orthodox Church Abroad in honor of the tenth anniversary of the episcopal consecration of the First Hierarch of the ROCOR, Metropolitan Nicholas of Eastern America and New York.
The concert took place in the building of the Synodal Residence in New York. The proceeds from the event were used for its restoration.
The concert was attended by members of the Synod of Bishops of the Russian Orthodox Church Abroad, whose meeting is currently taking place.
The Synodal Choir, under the direction of choirmaster V. S. Gan, performed a selection of liturgical hymns from the archpastoral Divine Liturgy, written by outstanding church composers.
After the concert, a reception was held for all participants and guests in the Synodal Hall.
