On January 6-7, 2025, the services of Christmas Eve and the Nativity of Christ were held at St. Nicholas Cathedral in New York City.
On the morning of January 6, the Royal Hours were served in conjunction with the Vespers and Divine Liturgy of St. Basil the Great.
In the evening of the same day, a festive all-night vigil took place, consisting, according to the charter, of Great Compline and Matins.
On the night of January 6-7, the rector of the cathedral, Archpriest Igor Vyzhanov, celebrated the Divine Liturgy, at which the Christmas message of His Holiness Kirill, Patriarch of Moscow and All Rus', and the Christmas greetings of the temporary Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA and Canada, Bishop Matthew of Sourozh, were read.
On the morning of January 7, the Divine Liturgy was celebrated by the cleric of the cathedral, Chancellor of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA, Hegumen Nikodim (Balyasnikov).
The cathedral's clergy, Hieromonk John (Scheffler), Protodeacon Igor Panachev and Deacon John Peters, also took part in the services.
After the night and morning Christmas liturgies, festive meals were organized for the parishioners.
