On February 16, 2025, on the day of remembrance of St. Nicholas of Japan, the heavenly patron of the First Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Abroad, Metropolitan Nicholas of Eastern America and New York, the rector of St. Nicholas Patriarchal Cathedral in New York, Archpriest Igor Vyzhanov, took part in a festive reception held at the residence of the Synod of Bishops.
