On March 2, 2025, after the evening service with the rite of forgiveness in the library of St. Nicholas Patriarchal Cathedral in New York, the next meeting of the literary club took place under the chairmanship of the rector, Archpriest Igor Vyzhanov.
The topic of discussion was the story by A.P. Chekhov "Ward No. 6". The participants of the meeting discussed the spiritual quest of the characters of the work, especially their views on the meaning of life and the immortality of the human soul.
The Literary Club of St. Nicholas Cathedral traditionally meets on the first Sunday of each month. Discussions of literary works alternate with viewing of documentaries and feature films that touch on spiritual and moral themes. Everyone is invited.
