On April 6, 2025, in honor of the 100th anniversary of the repose of the confessor Saint Tikhon, and with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, a reliquary containing a relic of the saint was brought to St. Nicholas Patriarchal Cathedral in New York City.

On Sunday afternoon, during the service of the Small Vespers, the reliquary was brought out from the altar and placed in the center of the church. Bishop Matthew of Sourozh, temporary Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA and Canada, together with the cathedral clergy, then led the reading of the Akathist to Saint Tikhon.

At the conclusion of the service, the bishop read the Patriarchal Address dedicated to the the 100th anniversary of the blessed repose of Saint Tikhon, Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia..

Throughout the jubilee year, the reliquary will visit numerous parishes of the Russian Orthodox Church and other Orthodox Churches in the USA. Afterward, it will be presented as a gift from His Holiness Patriarch Kirill to the Church of St. Tikhon in Cambridge, part of the Canadian Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia.
