On April 20, 2025, on the day of the Bright Resurrection of Christ, the Holy Easter services were held at St. Nicholas Patriarchal Cathedral in New York.

On the night of April 19-20, the Easter service began with a traditional religious procession. According to a long-standing tradition, the clergy and parishioners of St. Nicholas Cathedral marched around the entire block where the church is located. All adjacent streets were, by prior arrangement, blocked off by the police.

The Easter service that followed was led by the rector of the cathedral, Archpriest Igor Vyzhanov. He was assisted by the clergy of the cathedral, Hieromonk John (Scheffler) and Protodeacon Igor Panachev.

Following the communion verse of the Divine Liturgy, Archpriest I. Vyzhanov read out The Easter message of His Holiness Kirill, Patriarch of Moscow and All Rus'. After the dismissal of the service, the rector of the cathedral read out The Easter greeting of Bishop Matthew of Sourozh, Temporary Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA and Canada.

The Divine Liturgy on the morning of April 20 was celebrated by the acting chancellor of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA, Hegumen Nikodim (Balyasnikov), co-served by Deacon John Peters. The assisting priest was Archpriest Alexander Golubov.

After the night and morning services in the refectory hall of St. Nicholas Cathedral, an Easter fast-breaking ceremony was organized for the parishioners.

At the meal on the morning of April 20, Sunday school students performed Russian folk songs under the direction of folk musician Valentina Kvasova.
