Due to the release of Archpriest Igor Vyzhanov from his position as rector of St. Nicholas Patriarchal Cathedral in New York and his appointment as Deputy Chairman of the Department for External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate (in accordance with the decision of the Holy Synod under the chairmanship of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia on July 24, 2025), Bishop Matthew of Sourozh, Temporary Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA and Canada, has resumed the duties of rector of the New York Cathedral as of July 24, 2025.
