Solemn and festal divine services were held at St. Nicholas Patriarchal Cathedral New York, for the feast of the Meeting of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. On the evening of February 14, the rector of the cathedral, Archpriest Igor Vyzhanov led the festal all-night vigil. Cathedral Clergy concelebrating were Hegumen Nikodim (Balyasnikov), as well as Protodeacon Igor Panachev and Deacon John Peters. At the end of the service, the rector congratulated Hegumen Nicodemus on his birthday and proclaimed Polychronion to him.

On the morning of February 15 Divine Liturgy was celebrated by Archpriest Igor Vyzhanov, assisted by Protodeacon Serge Kerko. The sacrament of confession was offered by Hegumen Nikodim (Balyasnikov). After the Communion hymn, the rector read for the assembled congregation the text of the Address of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia on the occasion of the celebration of Orthodox Youth Day. After the ambo prayer, the rite of blessing of church candles, traditional for the Feast of Meeting of the Lord, was performed.
